Capricornia School of Distance Education has access to a Guidance officer service at each campus. This is a professional service offering educational assessments, counselling, and advice for parents and staff in how to best meet the needs of students.
The guidance service is operated through a referral model, with teaching staff processing referrals through equity meetings.
Provides advice and guidance on a diverse range of matters pertaining to student education and welfare. The guidance officer is available to help and advise students and their parents on matters as diverse as subject selection, career paths, emotional and social problems, scholarships and tertiary admissions procedures.
