Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 also have access to core subjects and Vocational Education Training (VET subjects), School-based apprenticeships and traineeships (SATS), and Work Experience.
All Year 10 students complete a Senior Education and Training (SET) Plan which maps out a study and career orientated learning pathway through Years 10, 11 and 12. Year 10 is designed as a transition year between our Middle School and the Senior Curriculum program. It provides opportunities for students to prepare for and sample all subjects offered in Years 11 and 12 and provides for the learning experiences necessary to make broad pathway choices leading into the final two years of Senior School.
In Years 11 and 12, students can select from a range of subject choices, offering opportunities for specialisation in learning. Students can choose a vocational education and training pathway or a pathway into university (ATAR pathway).
We support all of our students with their pathway choices and aim for every student to attain a Senior Education Profile including a Queensland Certificate of Education, or a Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement. Students also have the opportunity to use external organisations to extend their education opportunities.
Our learning programs are approved and drawn from the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority. Our school is also able to implement Individual education plans which are collaboratively designed and agreed upon between students, parents and teachers.
