The Preparatory Year provides a smooth transition from play-based, experiential learning to more formal learning outcomes, while remaining child-centred. Inquiry-based learning and hands-on investigations are central to the program, encouraging curiosity and exploration.
Parents and Home Tutors play an active role in supporting their child’s learning, working in partnership with teachers. Teachers guide families in planning learning experiences through the five early learning areas, which link directly to the primary school curriculum.
Learning programs are responsive to student needs and interests. Teachers carefully plan, monitor, assess, and reflect on student progress, ensuring each child receives the support they need. Resources are designed to promote active, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences.
