New enrolments
Students enrol with CapSDE for a range of reasons and dependant on their category of enrolment fees may be applicable.
Fee free enrolment
Eligibility for fee free enrolment includes:
- Living in a remote area.
- Being unable to attend a non-distance state school for more than 80 consecutive school days due to health reasons, with a medical certificate provided.
- Having an itinerant lifestyle or being excluded from certain state schools.
- Being a caregiver to a child or another person, with supporting medical documentation.
Fee paying enrolment
- If none of the exemptions above apply to the individual, the prescribed fee for distance education provision must be paid.
School Based
School based enrolment caters for students enrolled full-time in a state or non-state school. Students can request enrolment with Capricornia School of Distance Education for one or more subjects. These students are enrolled by their base school with all enquires to be directed to school_based@caprrocksde.eq.edu.au
